My husband and I both got laid off within a week of each other, so if anyone’s interested in commissioning me, it would help a lot. I’m very flexible with pricing. We’re doing everything we can! Not many people are interested in hiring a 6mo pregnant, chronically ill woman, so while my husband might be able to find another job soon, I’m kinda screwed.

Senior mini-poodle in AL / GA area needs a new home!
His name is Gus. He is a 12 yo mini poodle, and belonged to my stepmother’s mother.
Unfortunately, she had a stroke recently. She will be living with us soon, but she can’t bring Gus, as he is dog-aggressive. My mom and her wife have two dogs. A trial run failed when he attempted to bite one of them.
He also has Cushing’s disease, and will need someone to get him to a healthier weight. He cannot be with other dogs, and most likely not cats and very young children either.
But he loves people, and great with most of them - (i.e. calmer older kids/adolescents and adults), as his previous owner is in her 60s-70s.
Ideally he’d probably need an experienced dog person who is located in Georgia or Alabama or willing to pick him up here. Tennessee near the GA border would also be okay.
We know Gus is not the kind of dog many people would find easy or doable, but we’d really like to find him a home. We are also looking for rescue and senior dog sanctuary resources in the GA / AL / TN-near-GA area.
